why should i train HACs? i'm amarr so... yeah i'm not going through the nightmare of basically training as a caldari, so that leaves me with the zealot.
in my harbinger i can sport 7 turrets, and 5 med drones... in the zealot i've got an extra dmg bonus and range... and then only 4 turrets and 0 drones!?!?!?!? wtf? i just saved myself a ton of time in deciding to not bother with HAC trianing... ah sh!te if i want to get to t2 boat land.......... ____________________________ the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist |

Edited by: Chaplain Veritas on 26/10/2007 19:59:46 look i know it sounds like i'm digging my own grave with thise mentality, but if i wanted to fly missiles ships i woulda picked caldari. yeah great, khanid ships rock, it's like saying gallente ships rock. i could be in a myrmidon and halfway decent drone skills (since i work on drones secondary to my lasers) in... what... a week?
i know kicking and screaming (and thats not what i'm doing here) isn't gonna change anything, at least not my immediate situation, but i just don't see the point in spending the significant chunk of time it would to train up HACs, when I could continue to beef up all my support / gunnery / drone etc etc etc skills and make a perfectly pew pew killy harbinger. and then perhaps hop up to a geddon or abbadon. if CCP beefs up the zealot down the road, sweet, i'll trian up and already have completely pimped out medium boat skills ready to make the thing sing it's lasery song of death. but as it is the dmg output of 7 t2 pulses and 5 t2 med drones is too yummy spend that kind of timesink for HACs. ____________________________ the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist |

to get HAM IV i think EVEmon put me at 33-ish days (minus the guided missile thing you mentioned). yeah... i guess......... sigh. i just like being effecient, for a race that is so laser-centric it seems like such a divergance. oh well. i'm a relatively new char/player so 1 month of training is more frustrating then it probably is to a veteran :) ____________________________ the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist |

Originally by: BillyBong2 Heavy Assault Missiles, train the follwoing skills to 4 as well, warhead upgrades, missile bombardment, missile projection, guided missile preceision, rapid launch, missile operation to 4.
Depending on your HAC skill you will be able to hit with any HAM from aobut 17KM.
Try it, you'll love it. I love my and when you want to PvP you a lot of good options.
ok in planning things out, what about the following skills:
missile guidance target navigation prediction
will those help me out for HAMs? thanks ____________________________ the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist |
